Year 2019

WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN!
I have to be honest, this year I have felt, it went by so fast. One minute I was organizing a birthday party, the next I was already getting ready for Easter, then next was Christmas.

So now you ask, what happened during this year?
Well...I shall be typing out what I have seen that happened this year. We will be covering music, movies, deaths and what i have felt I have achieved this year.

First off, here a few highlights of the year:

Disney:
  • Disney + was launched on 12 November 2019. This is a video on-demand streaming service that features Disney movies and new Disney TV shows.
  • On May 1st, Walt Disney World celebrated the 30th anniversary of Disney's Hollywood Studios.
  • Avengers: Endgame took over Avatar and has become the highest-grossing film of all time, and is also the second-highest-grossing film of all time in the US and Canada. This film currently has the highest weekend gross of 2019.

  • Netflix had 15 nominations at the 91st Academy Awards which made it the most ever for a studio owned by a streaming service.

This year, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to the following celebrities:
Allee Willis; Cameron Boyce; Luke Perry; Robert Forster; Linda Porter; Jo Andres; Pegi Young; Julie Adams; Lisa Sheridan; Elly Mayday plus many more.
I am terribly sorry for everyone's loss during this year. I know it is not easy to cope with the loss of someone, but hang in there. I know it is tough. I can tell you at least you have the memories of that person who passed away. The memories will stay forever.

On a more personal note:
This year, I decided that there was a project I have been wanting to do for a very long time, but I kept on putting it off. So this year, I decided to go ahead with this project and I really hope you will be happy to see what the outcome is.

Thinking back to the beginning of this year, I decided to take a different approach to fitness. This year, I have been walking a lot more than what I used to. I aim to get 10K steps each day. I have also reduced my HIIT training and have adapted to more low impact exercises.

The fitness program I am following is Rachael Attard. I have found that her workouts work for me. Her program is low impact, with a few HIIT training workouts. Since I started my fitness journey I have been struggling with my body. Even though the other fitness programs work, they didn't seem to work for me. Hence why I decided this year I am taking a new approach to fitness. The result? I am seeing that this type of exercising seems to work for me. I do not perform any exercises which are heavy on my legs - such as squat jumps, box jumps and lunge jumps. I am also trying to eat healthier than what I was before. I haven't been making smoothie bowls this year because I did bloat after a while whenever I had smoothie bowls. So I needed to cut down on that. What I have been trying to do is find quick and easy healthy recipes as I would like to still share my journey with you all.
You can take a test to see which body type you are on her website. It's free and it will not take long to fill out.
Here is Rachael Attard's website:
https://www.rachaelattard.com/

I still do follow Lucy Wyndham-Reed's exercises and she is still a huge inspirations for me. I still follow Cara Collective as well as she inspires me too. A new fitness trainer I have started to follow this year is Dana Landgren. Her workouts she posts on her Instagram page are all pelvic-floor friendly and are low impact. Plus there is a workout for everyone.
Here is the link to her Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/danalandgren/

I am still a vegetarian. This would be the 5th year I am a vegetarian. Back when I became vegetarian I thought it would take a while to say to everyone "I have been a vegetarian for XX amounts of years.", now it has been 5 years and I do feel great that I am helping animals. Honestly, it is a choice I have made and no one has forced me to choose what I can and cannot eat. I have also reduced my use of plastic as this year more and more people are aware that plastic is not a good thing to have. Single use plastic is not what we need and many restaurants have swapped their single use plastic with plastic free alternatives.

This year I had the opportunity to run my own competition and it was a success. I personally must thank Eat naked Super Nude Foods for the absolutely amazing opportunity to let me run a competition. I am forever grateful. If you'd like to know more about Eat naked, here is their website:

Motivation for the Week: 26

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"It's not what's under

the Christmas tree that matters, it's

who is around it"

- Anonymous.

Why I chose this quote:
Since it is Christmas in 2 days, I thought I would find an inspiring Christmas quote for the festive season. I do like this quote because Christmas is about family, it is about being with those who you love. One quote I always remember for Christmas is from Mickey Mouse from Mickey's Christmas Carol: "Christmas is a time for giving. A time to be with one's family.". This is true. Christmas is about being with the ones you love and to spend the day with your family.
What is today's motivation? Spend time with family, even those you are not a big fan of.

Thank you for taking time to read this post,
Please do not forget to send me any suggestions you would like me to blog about.

Thank you!

ENJOY THE FESTIVE HOLIDAYS!

Motivation for the Week: 25

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Dogs have a way of finding

the people who need them, and filling

an emptiness we didn't ever know

we had."

- Thom Jones.

Why I chose this quote:
I thought that this week, we could have a quote that is different to the ones I have posted already. This week is focused on dogs. Dogs are such amazing animals. Sometimes we just want our dogs. When you want to get away from a situation or if you just need to breathe from the stress you have, your dog can help you to refocus and make you feel more relaxed. I do love this quote as it states dogs have a way of helping humans. Let's face it though, dogs are AWESOME!

Motivation for the Week: 24

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Change is painful,

but nothing is as painful as

staying stuck somewhere you

don't belong."

- Mandy Hale.

Why I chose this quote:
Change can be challenging for us, and sometimes we don't like change. However, change is difficult to handle, but it might be better to change things up instead of being stuck where you are. That is if you are not liking where you are now.

Motivation for the Week: 23

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Rise above the storm and

you will find the sunshine."

- Anonymous.

Why I chose this quote:
Sometimes in life, we need to rise above to that we can accomplish what we want. This quote is metaphorically saying that we need to face our fears so that we can accomplish our goals. I know fear is one of the main reasons we hold back, and I know it is tough to face your fears. It can be scary sometime. So why not look at what is challenging for you, and then those fears you face, you can face them one by one. Try to accomplish something in your life.

Motivation for the Week: 22

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Believe in YOURSELF
and all that you are.
Know that there is something
inside you that is GREATER than
any obstacle."

- Christian Larson.

Why I chose this quote:
This quote inspires. This quote is straight to the point. Two words are in capital letters as it is for emphasis on those words specifically. You have to truly believe in yourself if you want to succeed. There is something inside of us that is our calling for what we must do in life. I believe we all have a purpose in life, and once we find what our purpose - or passion - is, then we can start to succeed in life. It  must be something that you truly know you are passionate about.

Monday 18 November 2019

Motivation for the Week: 21

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Finding your passion
isn't about careers and money.
It's about finding your
authentic self. The one you've buried
beneath other's need."

- Kristin Hannah.

Why I chose this quote:
Searching for what your passion is in life shouldn't be about the money, it should be about what you love doing. This sadly isn't always possible to do as I do understand we do need to make a living in our lives. So instead we should find our passion in life and pursue it if we can. I do believe that we should follow our passion, even though we will face challenges in our path, but as long as you get to your goal. I do understand other people may block your path. They could be stepping stones in your path and we need to do what our passion is. Find what your passion is and then if you can, pursue it and live your dream! Just don't forget about those who have helped you pursue your passion.
(I hope this makes sense).

Motivation for the Week: 20

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Create Healthy habits.
Not Restrictions."

- Unknown.

Why I chose this quote:
In your everyday life, make healthier decisions. This could be going for a walk instead of sitting on the couch, or it could be drinking water instead of drinking a soda. These are the little changes you can make to create healthy habits in your life. Do not, however, create restrictions as this will lead to, for example, binging on foods.
Remember to live as healthy as you can be and also remember the small changes you make will help you in the long run.

Thank you for taking time to read this post,

Monday 4 November 2019

Motivation for the Week: 19

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Fitness is like a
relationship. You
can't cheat and expect it to work."

- Unknown.

Why I chose this quote:
Let's put it this way, there is no magic pill that will make you loose weight. There is no easy way around it. The solution: Work for the body you want, and stay consistent. Do not give up so easily. Striving for the body shape you want will take time - trust me, I know. I have been on my fitness journey since 2016, and I am still working on my fitness goals. As this quote says, you cannot 'cheat' on your fitness journey. You need to be determined and remember to be patient.

Motivation for the Week: 18

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Make your life a
masterpiece; imagine no
limitations on what you
can be, have or do."

- Brian Tracy.

Why I chose this quote:
This quote is simply saying "Life your life". Our time is limited on this Earth, so we need to do as much with our lives as possible. I know life can get you down sometimes, but we need to get back up and keep on going. I want to also tell you all to live the life you want to live. It is your life and no one else's. Life is too short to focus on the negativity and the negative people in your life. Imagine your life with no limitations.

Motivation for the Week: 17

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Life is a question
and how we live is the
answer."

- Gary Keller.

Why I chose this quote:
I always like to find quotes about life itself. This quote, for me, means life has many questions we want answered, but sometimes the answers come to us in many forms. Usually it is when we least expect it. Life can be amazing, we just need to choose how we want to live our lives.
Gary Keller is an American vest-selling author and is the founder of Keller Williams, a real estate company.

Motivation for the Week: 16

Hello to all!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Every path but your own,
is the path of fate.
Keep on
your own track, then."

- Henry David Thoreau.

Why I chose this quote:
Everyone has a path they must follow, their own path. If we follow someone else's path and not our own, we need to go back to our own path. Meaning we must follow our own dreams and not someone else's. I do believe that you can interpret this quote how you see fit though. I believe that we all have a path of our own and we need to follow it, and not get distracted by someone else's dreams.
This quote is said by a man who was a poet, a philosopher and a leading transcendentalist. Thoreau is bets known for his book "Walden" which is a reflection upon simple living natural surroundings.

Monday 7 October 2019

Motivation for the Week: 15

Hello to all you absolutely amazing people!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Life doesn't require that we
be the best, only that we try
our best."

- H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Why I chose this quote:
In life, we all try our best with what we can do. Sometimes we try a little too hard, when we could just try our best. If you are in a situation when someone says "do your best", it does not mean to say do the work so much that you are worn out. It simply means try your absolute best.
I like this quote because it is to the point and tells you to just try your best. So don't give up if you find what you are doing is too much for you. Just remember that you tried, and that is what is important.

Remember I said that I would write a general knowledge fact instead?
Well maybe I will write more than just one general knowledge fact. I shall post it up on another blog soon.
Stay tuned...

Motivation for the Week: 14

Hello there to all new people who are reading my blog for the first time, and to all who do read my blog!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Relationships are about trust.
If you have too play detective,
then it's time to move on."

- Anonymous.

Why I chose this quote:
I am busy with a project of mine and it came to my attention about trust. Trust is a powerful tool. It can be easy to trust someone, but trust can also be easily destroyed between two people. I like this quote because, as the quote says, if you need to play detective - or investigate - a relationship you have with someone, then the trust between you and that person might be gone. If you find that you are questioning your trust with someone, it could mean that the trust is gone. It's sad if you think about it.
Just remember to trust those who you believe are true to themselves and you know who will not lie to you.

Interesting fact:
Here is another interesting fact about the human body:
Hearing is diminished after eating too much:
Interesting fact that nutrition and hearing ability are connected. When you eat too much your ability to hear is slightly reduced. No specific food will cause or prevent hearing loss.
So next time you overeat, you might notice that your hearing is reduced a little.

I will post another interesting fact next week. Maybe a general knowledge fact...

Thank you for taking time to read this post,
Please do not forget to send me any suggestions you would like me to blog about.
I am open to new suggestions.
Thank you!

Monday 23 September 2019

Motivation for the Week: 13

Hello to one and all.
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"I am my problem
and my solution."

- Unknown.

Why I chose this quote:
This quote is simple and to the point. I am only human so I do in some cases make my own problems, but I know I need to look for a solution to my problems. An example would be weight loss. If I eat junk food all the time, and not exercising, this will be me creating a problem for myself. The solution would be to eat clean, healthy food as well as exercise regularly.
I let you think what solution you can fix right now.

Interesting fact:
Here is another interesting fact about the human body:
People are taller in the morning and shorter at night:
There is a theory that human beings are taller in the morning when they wake up. This could be due to gravity compressing on the human spine - vertebrae - in the back as humans stand or sit down during the day. When humans lay down - example is going to sleep in this case - the spine is said to 'spread out' and decompress, and this could be why humans are taller in the morning.

I may just have another interesting fact next week...

Thank you for taking time to read this post,
Please do not forget to send me any suggestions you would like me to blog about.
I am open to new suggestions.

Motivation for the Week: 12

Hello to all you amazing people!!
I have a new quote for the week for you. It is a good quote to read.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.'
I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time,
the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with
scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is
never gone. "

- Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Why I chose this quote:
These words were said by the Countess of the Holy Roman Church and the matriarch of the Kennedy family. She was also a philanthropist, born in Boston Massachusetts, and she is admired by many today. I love this quote because today is my grandmothers birthday and what Rose Kennedy says about somebody who has passed it true. For me, the 'wound' for me still remains. I miss my grandmother every day. I agree that when we loose someone who we truly cared about, we still feel pain because they are not psychically with us anymore.

Interesting fact:
Here is an interesting fact about the human body:
Human Heart:
Did you know the human heart can beat more than 3 billion times in an average persons lifespan?
The human heart beats about 100, 000 times a day.
The average human heart is roughly the size of a fist in an adult. The human heart weighs between 10 - 12 ounces - that is 280 - 340 grams - in men and 8 - 10 ounces - that is 230 - 280 grams - in women. Motivation for the Week: 11

Hello to all you amazing people!
How has your day been going so far?

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"The power of
imagination makes
us infinite. "

- John Muir.

Why I chose this quote:
I have started something new, and even though it may take a while with this project, I am being creative with this project. So I chose this quote - which was said by an early advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the U.S.A, John Muir. -because everyone's imagination is a powerful tool of theirs. Your mind can go far and you can imagine such amazing events.
John Muir was one of America's most influential naturalist and conservationist. Did you know he has been called "The Father of our Nation Parks" as he is one of California's most important historical personalities.

Interesting fact:
As promised from last week's post, here is a new interesting fact about the human body:
Your sleep:
Did you know you have no sense of smell while you are sleeping? Yes, that is true. We cannot rely on our sense of smell while we are asleep, according to a new study from Brown University.
(for the full article on this topic, check it out here: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/05/040518075747.htm)
The human body also releases growth hormones while we are asleep.
Also, we need to get at least 7 hours of sleep because if we do not, our life expectancy is reduced.

I will see if I can share another interesting fact next week with you all.

Thank you for taking time to read this post,
Do not forget to send me any suggestions you would like me to blog about.
I am always happy to new suggestions.
Thank you!

Motivation for the Week: 8

Happy Monday to one and all!
We are half-way through August.
We are past half-way through the year. Can you believe it? I think this year has being going quickly, what about you?
Plus next week is my birthday.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Be happy with what you have

While working for what you want."

- Helen Keller.

Why I chose this quote:
In school, I remember I learnt about Helen Keller, and she has inspired me. She was an amazing person to learn about. She was strong and even though she battled with being blind, deaf and mute, she still managed to overcome her fears.
The quote is quite motivational as it is simple and sweet. We must appreciate what we have, while we also must be working for what our goals are.

Thank you to all who took time to read this post,
It does not go unnoticed,
Thank you!

Motivation for the Week: 7

Happy Monday to one and all!

It is 2 weeks until my birthday (YAY me!).
How are you all doing for the week?

Here is the motivation for the week:

"Never apologize for how you feel."

- Anonymous.

Why I chose this quote:
We have all apologized for a situation in our lives - and I know we all have. Your feelings, however, is not necessarily something to be apologizing for.
For example, if your own feelings hurt someone else, you do not need to apologize. Did that person apologize to you at all?
Another example would be if somebody hurt your feelings, and then they expect you to apologize, or change it to how they think you should be feeling.
Remember your feelings are your own, and no one should be dictating how you should be feeling. Everyone is unique in their own way, and our feelings are part of being unique.

Remember if you have any suggestions for a blog I should write about, let me know. You can let me know via my social media accounts, or posting below.

Thank you for reading this blog,
It really does mean a lot.

Thank you!

Motivation for the Week: 5

Hello to everyone out there!

Let's get started, here is the motivational quote for the week:

"Forget what hurt you,
But never forget what it taught you
.
"

Why did I chose this quote: Sometimes in life, we get hurt either verbally, physically or - nowadays - cyberly (this is a word, I googled it.). Most of us remember what caused that pain, but we can learn from the mistakes we made. I do like this quote as I, and am sure many of you, can relate to this quote.
Let it be motivation for you as well for the week ahead. Just think about what the situation that hurt you, taught you.

Thank you all for reading this blog,
I shall be back next week.

Let me know if you would like me to blog about any other topics.

Thank you!

Motivation for the Week: 4

Hello to one and all!

Here is the quote for the week:

"This should be the spirit every Monday.
Know that something good will always happen
.
"

- Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Why I chose this quote:
I like that this quote is short, and to the point. I
What I take from this quote is, we need to think more positively and if we believe good events will happen...it will happen. It may take time, but something good will happen in the future.

If you have requests for a blog, please let me know. You can let me know via my social media accounts.

Thank you for taking time to read this blog.

Motivation for the Week: 3

Hello to one and all!

How have you all been doing?
Are you looking on the positive side of life?

Here is your motivation for the week:

"Today you are you, that is truer than true.

There is no one alive that is youer than you."

- Dr. Seuss.

Why did I chose this quote: I found this quote to be very inspiring because we need to be who we want to be, and to not let anyone dictate our lives.
I believe that you are can be whatever you want to be, but that can only happen if you are determined and if you put your mind to what you want to in your life.

Thank you all for taking time to read this blog,
It does not go unappreciated.

Thank you!
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
See you next week!

Monday 8 July 2019

Motivation for the Week: 2

Happy Monday to one and all!

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:
"Unless we learn to know ourselves, we run the danger of destroying ourselves."
- Ja A. Jahannes.

Why I chose this quote for the week: With all the quotes I have read, I find them to be quite inspiring to read. This quote, in particular, is a good one. I find that if you know who you are as a person, you will know what is right for you.
If you are someone who is not sure who they are as a person, like other people, we may destroy ourselves. We are the main source of our own destruction, so maybe seek out who you are meant to be. Just remember to follow your own goals in life.
That is my take on this quote. It is quit interesting to think about.

Thank you to all for taking the time to read this blog post.
If you have any suggestions for a new blog, please let me know.
(You can write to me via my social media pages too.)

Thank you,
Happy Monday!

Motivation for the Week

Hello to one and all!

I do apologize for not being able to blog any posts for a while now. I have been quite busy lately. There is a new topic I would like to start: That is posting motivation for the week ahead.
The reason for this new posts in the upcoming weeks will be to try and motivate everyone, and help them stay positive for the week.

Here is the first quote that I do hope will inspire you for the week:

"Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living,
and your belief will help create the fac
t.
"

- William James

Why I chose this quote for the week: I want you to see a quote about life itself. I do not wish for us to be afraid of life and what the future may hold. If we believe that life can be beautiful, then we will realize that life is worth living.
That is my take on this quote.

I want to make these next blogs short and sweet.
I do hope that these motivations will benefit you with your day. Remember to have a productive day, and to try and not think too negatively. I do know that negativity is a natural way of thinking, but we do need to look on the brighter side of a situation.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post,
If you have any suggestions with regard to future blogs, feel free to let me know.

Thank you!
