Motivation for the Week: 16

Hello everyone!

I am back with a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Act as if what

you do makes a difference.

IT DOES."

- William James.

Why I chose these quotes:
Have you ever wondered if you have made a difference in someone's life? Whether it be a huge change in their life, or even one where you are just there for the person? Whatever the case is, you have probably made a change in somebody's life. Just think...if you were not in their life, would they have done things differently for worse? I like this quote because sometimes I do think I have made a difference in somebody's life - although I laugh at the thought too. Overall, just think maybe you have made a difference is someone's life and you don't know about it.

Motivation for the Week: 11

Hello everyone!

I am back with a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"Maybe you have to

know the darkness

before you can

appreciate the light"

- Madeline L'Engle

Why I chose these quotes:
As everyone knows by now, most countries have the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
I chose this quote because we need to appreciate who we have around us. This disease is very sad and it is a devastating time for us all. Some of our family members have this disease and some of us have come into contact with the disease. I consider the Coronavirus a "darkness" right now. Sometimes unfortunately we need to go what the "darkness" is like so that we can appreciate the "light". This is a bad disease I know, so let us spend time with our family as much as possible. We need to appreciate those around us and cherish the moments we have, and to stay safe. I do find it sad that we have to have this disease to realize that we need to be more hygienic with what we handle.
So I will end with this: WASH YOUR HANDS!

Motivation for the Week: 7

Hello everyone!

I am going to try something a little different for this week's motivation.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"I don't like Mondays."
"Mondays are the worst!"
"Why do bad things always happen to me on Mondays."
"Mondays always made me angry! I am always picked on!"

- Sound Familiar?

Why I chose these quotes:
Whenever Monday approaches, our mindset is already negative and we are already setting ourselves up for destruction.
Instead of thinking negatively about Monday, think positively instead. Find something that will make you look forward to Mondays. If there is no reason...find one. Think: "Monday! New challenges, new obstacles to face and new events to come in the new week."
We need to change our mindset about Mondays, and remember to smile. It is a new week and who knows, maybe the new week will be a huge opportunity for you...

Motivation for the Week: 3

Hello everyone!!
I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"If you have gained

the trust of a horse.

You have won a friend for life"

- Taken from the Cracker Barrel bag.

Why I chose this quote:
This quote is motivational because it is about trust. To gain a person's trust can be tricky and it is difficult to trust other people, but once you trust each other, then you have formed a bond. For a horse, it is true that you need to gain their trust. Horses are curious animals and it may take time to gain their trust. When you have gained their trust, they will be a friend for you.

Motivation for the Week: 2

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
How are you enjoying the new year? Are you back to work?

I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"It's Monday.

Get up and create

something amazing

this week."

- Anonymous.

Why I chose this quote:
I always find that doing something you usually don't do, is always inspiring. The past week I did something I have not done for years and that is...HORSE RIDING! I rode a beautiful horse and whole ride was a wonderful experience. So for this week, do something that you have not done for a long time. make the most of it!

Motivation for the Week: 1

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
I am starting the motivation with week 1 as it is the start of 2020.
Can you believe we are only 6 days into the new year and the Golden Globe's have already happened?

I have a new quote for the week for you.

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"People will forget what you said.

People will forget what you did, but

they will never forget how you made them feel."

- Maya Angelou.

Why I chose this quote:
We always remember situations because of how we felt in that particular situation. If someone made you very happy by taking you to a place you always wanted to go, you may not remember everything single detail that happened. I like this quote because I see it both positive as negative. By negative I mean maybe you felt sad when a family member passed away. What could also be negative could be an argument you had with someone, and it left you feeling very sad. This quote can be interpreted positively by being excited about an event you always wanted to go to.

Motivation for the Week: 11

Hello to all you amazing people!
How has your day been going so far?

Here is the motivation for the week ahead:

"The power of
imagination makes
us infinite. "

- John Muir.

Why I chose this quote:
I have started something new, and even though it may take a while with this project, I am being creative with this project. So I chose this quote - which was said by an early advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the U.S.A, John Muir. -because everyone's imagination is a powerful tool of theirs. Your mind can go far and you can imagine such amazing events.
John Muir was one of America's most influential naturalist and conservationist. Did you know he has been called "The Father of our Nation Parks" as he is one of California's most important historical personalities.

Interesting fact:
As promised from last week's post, here is a new interesting fact about the human body:
Your sleep:
Did you know you have no sense of smell while you are sleeping? Yes, that is true. We cannot rely on our sense of smell while we are asleep, according to a new study from Brown University.
(for the full article on this topic, check it out here: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/05/040518075747.htm)
The human body also releases growth hormones while we are asleep.
Also, we need to get at least 7 hours of sleep because if we do not, our life expectancy is reduced.

I will see if I can share another interesting fact next week with you all.
